DIAMOND X-Ray imaging Beamline
The full field cryo X-ray microscope for biology at Diamond is currently in the design phase. Completion and first users are expected in 2014.
This microscope will provide the ability to image intact, unstained, vitrified biological cells using X-rays in the water window (approx 500eV) so that the natural contrast between carbon containing and oxygen containing material is enhanced. The technical specifications of the instrument are given below. Those with questions which are not answered by the details provided here should contact Liz Duke at Diamond (Elizabeth.duke@diamond.ac.uk).
